Kim, I have the Jardine on my '87 and I love it. Been told on short shifting it sounds like a harley. Fortunatly that goes away when you hit the throttle. The Jardine has a nice rumble to it, not a loud over bareing tone like alot of the harleys. With little throttle it is quit quiet, on a hard take off it can be quit loud, but not so loud that it would disrupt most people. I was living in a residential nieghborhood when I installed the Jardine and I didn't have one complaint in the 3 yrs I lived there. Good luck with your choice.
